Christopher A. Olsen
Associate
Mr. Olsen graduated from University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Philosophy. He earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law, where he was a member of the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal. During law school he clerked for the San Diego City Attorney's Family Justice Center, the Law Firm of Tatro & Zamoyski, and Cohelan Khoury & Singer. Mr. Olsen was admitted to the bar in 2005.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Olsen was enlisted in the U.S. Navy and later was involved in developing marketing strategies for medical and legal professionals for Einstein Industries, Inc.
Mr. Olsen joined Cohelan Khoury & Singer in 2005 to focus his legal career on employment wage and hour, consumer, and unfair competition class actions.
Mr. Olsen also volunteers his time to Service Members Civil Relief Act Panel. Unfortunately, many military service members are vulnerable to court proceedings against them while deployed oversees or in locations that disconnect them from the judicial system. Often, Service Members are unaware of civil proceedings against them and, as a result, fail to appear to defend themselves. This failure may result in a default judgment against them and may cause further financial difficulties for them. This Panel protects our service members by offering free representation to stay or set aside default judgment proceedings until the Service Member is in a position to defend themselves.
